"Delayed acceleration" from dead stop
Hey gang,
Just bought an '04 Edge Reg. Cab 4x4, Dark Shadow Grey (3.0L Auto) with all the goodies. I am a BIG fan of regular cabs, so when I saw this little Ranger with only 9k miles at a great price, I couldn't pass on it! Man it sure is hard to find 4x4 regular cabs with the complete option array.
Anyway, The only little "annoyance" I've noticed is when starting from a dead stop, it seems to take a second or so to get going. No noise, just like a little studder, then it's on it's way. Is this normal? I have noticed if I do get in the gas a bit more, it's much less noticeable.

With an 04 that has 9k on the clock, I'd schedule a visit at the dealers service department tomorrow morning. We pay good money for that warranty and not having to mess with stuff for 36/36,000

I agree with Bill & Aspork42, it might be a lazy TPS, but with it under warranty, I'd make this Fords problem as Bill suggested!!!
We pay big bucks for the "Warranty", so might as well make good use of it, thats what it's there for. Let us know what they find.
