Complaints made to the flight crew generally never get heard because they have to go through many different channels. I would fill out the complaint card located in the airline's magazine. That is much more effective believe it or not.
We had a captain once, who after many delays due to ground ops and refueling, walked into the cabin and over the PA instructed every passenger to get the magazine out and fill out the card. He then collected them all personally and turned them in at the destination.

Aircraft
I am a aircraft mechanic by trade and worked on many diffrent types aircrafts I would put my faimly on a boeing aircraft any time I just like there way of thinking and they over built and can take a lot of abuse be for they will go down.
The Airbus is a throw away type aircraft, While Boeing is bulit for the long run the airline I worked for started to purchasing Airbus aircraft before the big lay off back in 09-11-2001 most of the mechanic had the same feeling toward this aircraft.
Any aircraft that you must do a vertical tail inspection due to the tail has a track record of craking and falling off like the one the crashed over New York tells you some thing about the aircraft.
Plus Airbus are noisy aircraft inside.

I know when Airbus was trying to unload there aircraft they had buy one aircraft with 1 engine get the 2nd engine free thats pretty bad just to be able to sale a aircraft, my experience is if they want to give you this kind of deal there something wrong with it.

Tri-star?? Never have been on one. The windshear problem, a small production run. I also think I remember some engine problems. Plus its a widebody. Not my idea of fun. Like I said I prefer CRJ's. I like them small. I'm relatively lucky, my company allows me to pick my flights, and therefore aircraft choices. If the equipment listed is a CRJ-40 or 50, I will spend a couple of extra hours in the airport, or make an extra connection to do it.
My wife's company makes them use 'cattle car' airlines, oops Southwest. All 737's all the time. I despise them, I think they double book every single seat out of Chicago everyday.
