My biggest pet peeve is buying something and then finding a snotted up repair job that took longer to make than if it was fixed right. Then I have to tear it all out and start over to do it the right way. John

My pet peeve is when I am at a traffic light, and some little Honda with a punk behind the wheel, pulls up and thinks I need to listen to his music. He has one of those over amplified stereos with the base so loud you can feel it in your gut! Makes me want to smash the little buzzbomb with my 77 F250 HiBoy!!!

Well, I was going to say something about Hondas and stereos but I won't repeat. So I would have to say when I call up the parts store and some ex-whopper-flopper answers the phone and assures me that he has the part I need in stock; but when I get there he can't find it or doesn't know what I am talking about. I really love it when they say "I don't know, the computer says we have 10 but really we don't" or something like "I'm sorry sir, but according to our computer your truck doesn't have any spark plugs".

/Rant On/
I'd have to say my biggest peeve is those p'ing symbols (you know, the little guy urinating on something).
Case in point: I let a S10 Blazer merge in front of me one day and he had one of those little guy's p'ing on a Blue Oval, I felt like rear-ending him.
I mean, is that how these guys make them selves feel good about their trucks? They have to put down everyone else?
Don't get me wrong, I don't like any of those p'ing things, not just when it's against Ford. I find them very offensive, specially when I see them on a Ford Truck. I don't think a (Proud) Ford Truck owner needs to lower theirself to a Che*y owners level by displaying one of those stickers.

Pet Peeves? Hmmm, People who walk up to me and brag about how their little Honda with it's big ##### muffler can out run my truck. Yeah, but can your little Honda haul 12,000lbs up a 7% grade?

I don't have a problem with the punks with their sound systems, I just put a new fan clutch on my truck and it sticks so that the fan RPM matches the engine RPM, I just rev up to about 3,500 RPM and they get the point. Plus the system I have below.

Daywalker
92' F-250 351 4x4 xlt 4.10 5spd supercab longbed

Sound System: Stock Stereo, RockfordFosgate 800 watt amp, Vega 18" sub (400 watt rms), one Cerwin-Vega LS-12 3 way floor speaker with the Vega sub removed (because I blew it) and a RockfordFosgate 12" sub (500 watt rms) in its place. And one Boise floor speaker with a 75 watt power capacity (you know it ain’t gonna last).

Performance Mods: K&N Air Filter.

Cosmetic Mods: Black Grill Guard, 5% window tint, bug guard, bed liner.

Yeah I have a pet peeve. I hate the people who think they are all that and throw their cigarette butts out the damn window!! They do NOT care where it lands, what damage it can do if it starts a fire, and the fact that it takes forever for it to biodegade. These people just don't give a damn! Also, people who litter. I can't stand people who throw garbage out the window!

oh, and people who drive while talking on the cell phone! Talking on a cell phone while driving quadruples your chance of getting in an accident! Stay off the phone or stay the hell away from me!

my pet peeve is when people take a perfectly nice 1/2ton or smaller pick-up then lower it to about a 1/4 in off the ground and put tires that stick out 5 inchs. Ugly, and slow! Worse is when people lean their seats back so far they have to look between the dash and top of the steering wheel to drive, not only does it look bad, but I don't want to be near them. I don't beleive in makeing a pick-up a sports car, if you want preformance, buy something that will preform bettter than an S10 or Dakota(like a Ranger). One more thing that I hate, people who take their stock stereo add the highest power amp they can get, and then put as many subs in back as possible, not even takeing out the stock speakers. It sounds bad, and then people who do this will argue and try to say their system is the best money can buy.

I thought of another one, I hate when people are going thru an intersection on a green arrow across from me, and when their arrow turn yellow they keep coming, and when my light turns green there is that one ********* that hangs on the bumper of the last guy thru. Makes me wish I was James Bond and Q had just installed a grenade launcher in my grill!! Oh yea, I agree with earthworms about the cig butts. I have seen people dump their ashtrays while sitting in traffic. Greg58

One that gets me the most are those who don't make minor repairs to there vehicles. I must admit that I am a little **** when it comes to my trucks and keeping them in good shape and running condition. This past month I have seen a truck on the road that has a damaged tail light. Bulb and lense. It would be no big deal to repair/replace it but it just bothers me that this same person can keep driving week after week without taking the time to repair it. I keep extra lenses from old trucks on the shelf just in case I need to replace one of my own. I myself would not want to deal with the fine. I guess some people just don't care.

Trying to talk trucks with certain chevy guys, you can't get anything through to them that they don't want to hear. Funny thing about it is, as much as I hate chevies, I end up knowing more about chevies than many "die hard" guys.

Oh yeah, slammed trucks, those peeing symbols, and chevy motors in fords, ME TOO!!

I would agree about minor repairs on vehicles. When I see a nice looking vehicle, I look it over. But then, what do I see? tailpipe hanging down almost touching ground. Seems lot of people forget to look under their vehicles for problems.
