thanks for all the help guys, and i am waiting till monday. And fo course when i find out what is wrong i will share it with everyone and help anyone that gets in the same situation, that is what makes forums better!
I have installed a Bully Dog monitor and love it. Jan-04. I use both of the EGT's and monitor them along with volts and boost. I have also purchased the Bully Dog "Pup" which will "hop it up" but have choosen not to do it at this time. Because of possible warrenttee problems I remove the complete unit prior to service (I have made this easy to do by bringing the wirirg around the opening between the hood and door). I also made my own monitor mount on the dash (velco). The only thing I'll leave is the EGT wires (let them tell me this is wrong). So far I have had no codes show up but I understand the computer for the 05 has somehow different "stuff" inside to tell whether any changes are made in the power of the truck.
your trans has never acted up and remains "as is" prior to any changes. During the installation I talked to the techs at Bully Dog and found them very helpful and spot on with info......Good Luck.
I may be taking off my Gibson Extreme Dual exhaust if I find out warrentee denials are also linked to an exhaust change....I can put them back on after the warrentee runs out.....
Ok i have talked to bully dog about this problem, they have told me that i have the 03-04 outlook. The one for the 05 hooks up a differnt way. So now i am trying to get the place that i bought it from to send me the right one!
