BFGoodrich and Nitto make drag radials that hook quite well on the street and strip. They will ride/perform much like everyday rubber but they wont last as long.
Hoosier and M/T both make a DOT approved slick. They hook just like race slick and they have a couple of grooves cut in them so they can be classified as a DOT approved tire. This type of tire will have the shortest life, but it will hook the best. However, I wouldn't want to get stuck in the rain with these so a drag radial might be more your speed. You'll have to shop around for pricing since it varys so much from one retailer to another
I like the way Toyo tires perform on a truck as well. I drove a GEN 2 Lightning with a set of them on there and they did ride/bite quite well I might add...much better than the Goodyear tires I have on my GEN 1 right now.
Drag radials
The Nittos would work best for you, they have the best wear.
The M/Ts stick the best but wear the fastest.
BFGs wear faster than Nittos but stick better.
With that wheel diameter, your choices are extremely limited. For trucks, the market seems to favor 15" and 18" wheels. I know you mentioned that you don't want to keep swaping wheels/tires, with that said, it may be better to stick with the Toyo's you're currently running...they're good tires.
My stock wheels are 17" and I had no chioce but to get a new set of, custom made, 15" wheels and throw a set of slicks on them. The wheels were only 85 bucks a piece and they have a silver power coating on them. I don't mind swaping back and forth because I want the best traction i can get at the track, and allow my street tires to last as long as possible.
