Its a '52 Ford F1, it has a '67 283 Chevy (sorry guys) w/ Fenton 3x2 intake w/ 350 trans and Ford 9in rear. I just broke in the motor today. Thats the reason for the borrowed demolition derby headers. Notice the Pepsi can? It just barely fits under the bumper! And I don't even have the front sheet metal on it.
Looks like a nice straight project with a lot of work done already. Unless your springs are really light the front sheet metal won't make much difference - you'll probably still be able to drive over pepsi cans
Welcome to FTE Bill. If the rest of you guys ever get to Canton, OH be sure to take in the Football Hall of Fame - it's terrific!
Welcome aboard! Bunch of nuts and goofballs around here but they don't bite (usually). Great atmosphere and a LOT of experience and knowledge about these old trucks. Get a gallery set up and put up some details of what you've done and your plans. Get ready for a good natured jab here and there and give as well as you take.
Nice truck!! I'll bet it sounded real good on during the break in. Here's hoping the neighbors are into old trucks..
... and even if they aren't a rumbling v8 is a good thing!
