I just called the local Ford Dealership looking for the pins, bushings, and lock clips that mount the spare tire carrier to the body of the full size Bronco, these parts are no longer available. BUMMER! Does any one know where to get these parts (besides off somebody else's Bronco)? Is there an aftermarket manufacturer? I'm not running down to the local hardware store to pick out some nut and bolt combo just because it fits, come on, lets stick with something a little more OEM. Any help is appreciated.
I had the same experience when I went looking for a new tailgate latch. However, the parts guy at my local Ford dealership gave me the web site address and a password to search all Ford dealerships for the part. I located a dealer in Kansas who had the part on the shelf--this dealer had been a Ford dealer for over sixty years.i wish I still had the site and password but due to a hard drive crash, I lost that information.
I cannot recall the name of the site, but you might put some pressure on the parts guy and see if he will give you the site or do a search from the dealership. A lot of times those guys just automatically tell you the part is no longer available.
