Well, with the on set of fall, there has been increased discharges from my body, and they are not very easy to take! I,m talkin' about static electricity of coarse.Does someone know how to reduce the factor of this. I know you can eliminate it with a ground strap to your body, but, that would be like having to put another seat belt on! Give me some advise. I can actually see the spark discharge from my hand to the door frame in day light! It's embarrasing to say "ouch" all the time!

Phillip, I believe you can get a static elec. spray at your local grocery store. Look in the laundry section. Spray this on your trk seat and should help to relieve the static shock.

Hold the door as you get out of the truck. The shock you feel is the arc striking you when you touch ground then the truck. If you hold the door as you get out, there is no arc, but the electricity will find ground through you. You will not feel any shock.
I usually have my key in my hand, and as I get ready to open the door, I touch the door lock (or any metal part of the vehicle)with my tightly held key, letting the key draw the arc. I sometimes feel a little buzz, but I don't get the bite of the arc, the key does. Be sure to hold the key tightly or you may get an arc between the key and your hand.
my wife had the same problem in our truck i did two things to corrent this one there were poor grounds that existed under the hood so i fixed them this got rid of about 80% of her electric personality and the rest was done with spray starch (this is the same as what they sell for anti static sprays but it is cheeper if they call it spray starch)have fun
If you take a close look at a gasoline tanker you will see a sacrificial ground strap that goes from the frame to the roadbed. As it drags the ground it drains static from the vehicle. You might try as an experiment affixing a wire to the frame of your vehicle and letting the stripped end drag the ground. Good luck.
Just watch you don't get the static discharge while pumping gas!
Seriously, I think it must be the cloth seats. My Father-in-laws car was doing this to me and I wondered if it was because it is a Ch**y.
Interstingly, I was crawling around under my new '95 F-150 and noticed a ground strap running from the bed to the frame. I wonder if the cab has a similar strap?
