Cruise control not working
I have a 93 Ranger Supercab 4X4 w/4.0L engine. The cruise control is not working. What parts consist of the cruise control package? Where are they all located, how can I test them to see if each item is working and what is the most likely part to be defective? The shop manual I bought at Advance Auto doesn't say much on the subject.

Speed Control System
The speed control system consists of:
- Operator controls (part number 9C780), located on steering wheel.
- Stoplamp switch (part number 13480), located on brake pedal.
- Vacuum dump valve (part number 9E802), located on brake pedal.
- Clutch switch (part number 11A152), located on clutch pedal (manual transmission vehicles only).
- Speed control amplifier (part number 9D843), located under the instrument panel next to the glove box (Aerostar), or behind the instrument panel above the glove box (Ranger/Explorer).
- Servo assembly (part number 9C734), located on left side of the engine compartment.
- Speed sensor (part number 9E731), mounted on the transmission (4x2 vehicles) or transfer case (4x4 vehicles) (Ranger/Explorer), or on the rear axle assembly (Aerostar).
- Fuses, located in the fuse panel.
- Associated wiring harnesses and vacuum hoses.
The servo assembly (throttle actuator) is mounted in the engine compartment and is connected to the throttle linkage with an actuator cable. The servo assembly is connected to the speed control amplifier through the 14401 wiring harness.
