I just finished putting a clutch in my Bronco, and during reassembly I noticed that the bushing on the bottom of the transfer case shifter that connects to the transfer case linkage is shot. Dealership won't sell me a bushing, it comes packaged in a $71 wrapper - the entire linkage bar (with new bushings on both ends of course). I went to the parts stores, and struck out, including the "Help!" section of all the odds and ends parts. Does anyone know where to get this bushing?
I'd fabricate one out of appropriate material and install. You need a linkage hole diameter and rod diameter, fill the space in between. You can buy several types of material in blocks and machine to fit. Hand machining with finishing dress done by file counts as well. There may also be some other bushing that will work with minimal changes. Get yor measurements first.

A salvage yard should have it too...try looking at f-150's and broncos of the same year.
