Hydraulic Clutch System

Has anyone had experience bleeding the hydraulic clutch system? I had to replace my slave cylinder at 59K miles due to a serious leak. I replaced the clutch, pressure plate, pilot bearing, master cylinder, and slave cylinder/throwout bearing. I can't seem to get all of the air out of the system as the clutch still drags. When the system is cold and has sat overnight, the system works fine for maybe 10 clutch uses and then begins to drag. It doesn't drag significantly as can be seen underneath looking in, but it is dragging enough to make shifting difficult. I took it to my Ford dealer and they said I need to replace the syncros. I said okay, thanks, and left. I know there is nothing wrong with the transmission. It worked flawlessly before I replaced the clutch.

Any suggestions?

Hydraulic Clutch System

Start by checking the tech articles on the home page,there is one there about hydraulic clutches.Next, you may try a gravity bleed over a few hours by cracking open the slave bleeder screw and allow thr fluid to begin dripping. You will have to monitor the fluid level in the master cyl. constantly and have a catch pan to catch the run off.There is a special bleeding device made by Phoenix Injector for this purpose and they promise immediate results but at a price I'm sure.Good luck.
