I would like to flush and change the fluid in my hydraulic clutch system but can't find any type of bleeder valve on the slave cylinder. Is there a procedure for this? Thanks, John
|You dont bleed it until you change the clutch slave or master when you do the clutch or tranmission, it is sealed and doesnt require anything more because its meant to last the life of the clutch. It can be done, but given its a sealed system, isnt going to do anything, really, only a peace of mind if your clutch happens to last 300k....
I really think you do not have to do it... but if I recall on another vehicle, the slave cylinder --- actuation rod, can be removed by unbolting where it pushes on the clutch and then pulled right out.
the slave cylinder is where i bled mine when i put a new one on. the hose is connected by a roll pin that i punched out with a small nail. after you punch that out the hose should separate from the cylinder. put your thumb over the line and have someone pump the pedal releasing your thumb every so often just like a bleeder. when pressure builds up slip the hose back on.
