Blower motor resistor
Anyone have an idea where I can get a good blower motor resistor for a 1991 Ford F-250. I have been to NAPA, O'reilleys Autozone and Advanced. Nobody shows it available for my truck. I do not want to go to the dealership because they will charge out the nose for it. Any suggesstions? Thanks.

Take a VOM (volt/ohm meter) with you. If one of the circuits shows infinite resistance, better known as an Open. It's no good. Or play the odds. What are the chances of that truck having the exact same problem as your's? Good luck.

You can generally just look at it and see if it's broken. If you have a 4 speed motor you'll have 3 coils. You can use an ohm meter to check for sure but if it's open, you'll see it in the coil that is broken. Because of the current draw sometimes the plug becomes corroded and the contacts on both the plug and the recept. need cleaned.
