Axle Play...What is normal?

I just changed out my Right side Axle bearing on my '93 E150 Van and noticed that both axles have what seems to be quite a bit of play(maybe .060-.080") when I pull/push on the hub. How much play is normal? On my older Fords the bearings were pressed on the axle and there was not any in and out play. Thanks for any info.

I assume you are talking about the rear axle. In that case the endplay is normal.
