Question Exaust questions

Hi, im new here and i figure yall can help me a out a little. I put flowmaster exaust on my truck about a year or so ago. I thought it was loud when i got it but now.......it bores me. I also understand it isnt loud at all compared to trucks with v-8s

I am wondering what can i do to make my exaust louder and not screw up my engine. I am thinking about replacing my muffler with just a strait pipe and/or hollowing out my catalic converter. I am not sure if that is safe at all. BTW i can care less if it's legal cuz i know no cat is illegal in my state.

Gutting the cat hurts exhaust flow.

By design, some engines need a certain amount of backpressure to perform. Gutting a converter removes such backpressure.
