I Have 143100, Miles On Mine. I Just Bought It In January Form A Guy Who's Family Owned It From New It Runs Great And Doesn't Burn Oil Or Leak Anything. I Think I Found A Gem.
My 79 400 has 70,000 miles on the block I have. The original owner replaced his block with a new one when he hit 200,000 miles and put almost 70,000 on it when I bought it, which it now has over 70,000 miles sence I bought it.
I expect to get at least 200,000 out of this block, because it is in GREAT running order.
95 Bronco 5.8 Original engine had 198,000 miles. Thought it might be a good idea to tear it down and do a rebuild because I do a lot of towing during the summer months. When I got into it, to my surprise, it was a roller motor. It had ZERO wear on the cylinder walls - no ridge at all!!! the bearings looked like they came out of a car with 30,000 miles. I could not believe it!!!
Now, after a rebuild, it rune better with a 303 cam, forged pistons, GT40 Swirl aluminum heads, headers, Edelbrock intake and a twin 61mm throttle body. Oh, I almost forgot - 24lb injectors and a 10psi boost from the Paxton!
Now all I need is a 96 OBDII wiring harness and ECM to fine tune everything... Anyone got one for sale?
I've got 320,000 on my 91 XLT. Engine still runs ( abit tired though) and the tranny is in need of a new torque converter. I'm planning on swapping a 351w into it.
I started the restoration on my 88, hasn't been driven in 6 months and she has 357000 kms( not sure how many miles that is). When im done restoring it, hopefully it will look and drive better than new.
