Turbo lag

My 05 runs great has lots of torque, but the turbo lag is bad.
I can't even get it to spin the tires by powerbraking up to 1800rpm. Is this normal?

What's the best way to decrease turbo lag?

my lag is bad in my 05 also, and by buddies 04 isnt near as bad. I can light the tires up (in stock w/o a tuner) but that is after the turbo kicks in. My tuner seems to make the leg even worse.

Could be my light foot but I don't notice any lag with my 05 350 PSD. On the other hand, I have driven 04s with noticable lags.
