what steering column will fit?
Hey, guys I need a little help.
My steering column is shot. Does anybody know what year steering columns are compatible with my 1974 Ford F-100 2x4 w/ auto on the column. I want to replace the whole thing.

Kirk, as far as direct replacements you will need a 73 to a 77 collum with automatic. Make sure you get one that is the same type of steering as your truck. There is a difference in length between a collum for power steering and one for manual steering. If you don't mind some minor rewireing, you can use a collum from probably 67 up to 79, but you will still need to make sure it is the same type of steering as the collum that you have.
