glove box light
I have a 2004 f250 xlt with out a glove box light.Is this the norm.or did they just forget mine?If they did forget,where can i get one and where is the best place to hook it up?Also no ashtray light i would like to one of them also and hook it to the dimmer switch.I will need an explation on how to hook to the dimmer switch.

Some trucks had them some didn't. Take a look in the 6.0 forum. In there you'll find Read First folders. At the bottom of the Read First folders is one named Tech Folder. Go into that one and it will list the part number for the light and harness. It also lists a few other "missing" parts.

I have the number at work, but it is a very standard light. Just go to the dealer and tell them what you wnat and they should have it. It should cost under $15.00. I hooked mine up to the power plug wires in my truck. Take out the mystery hook and you should be able to use a wire tap to hook into the two wires.
