c4 to c6 swap

c4 to c6 swap
I hope I can describe this correctly! I was wondering if the removable tail pieces at the driveshaft end of a '79 c4 and an early 70's c6 are interchangable. The shape and bolt pattern looks the same, but I am worried about strength. If the swap is possible I could avoud having to get a new driveshaft built.
