Actually a friend of mine is a dealer and he told me that Ford knows when you add anything to the truck and goes into the black box . Some dealers will void it when others wont its just up to where you go. The 06's have a tiny camera right above the ODC port and takes a pic anytime someone plugs into the port and downloads this to FOMOCO. The blackbox also knows when any changes have been made to the PCM and also stores the date and time it was done so you have to prove you were at a dealer at that time and place if not no warranty. He also said they know when you add fuel, change the oil or do anything to the engine or trans. They are voiding warrantys for people not changing the oil on time or any of the other service stated in the drivers manual. They don't care if you have a bypass filter or anything else and you have to do it at the recomended time and mileage. They have been working on a thing like On Star that can download this info anytime anyplace. They can tell you what pump you used at the Flying J on May 5th and how long you where there.

They're not working on it, it's already in the '05's. You can tell when it's transmitting by listening closely to your radio on AM 695. You'll hear a faint noise that sounds like a modem connecting. You may may have to listen for 6-8 hours straight, so be patient. Also if you have lighted vanity mirrors in the visors you'll see a slight dimming on the left light at the bottom of the passenger side viser, or maybe it was the right light in the drivers side, I forget. Now shhhh, don't tell them I told you.
This is why a got a dark green satin truck and removed the FX4 stickers. Those stickers are also tracking devices. The satin finish though is like camo and actually blocks those transmissions, plus nobody can see you. Kind of like a Stealth Super Duty.
Now that I think about it, I bet they can track me through the clearance lights! Great, I'll have to cut those out with my Sawzall and silicone some aluminum plates in there....
At least I can track the black helicopters through the moonroof.

After a lengthy, late night discussion with my new, rather large friends in dark suits and sunglasses, I would like to take this opportunity to retract my above statements. Furthermore, our fine, upstanding corporate friends at Ford have never, and would never covertly collect data from their loyal subjects, I mean customers. Hence, it is my recommendation that this thread be closed and the topic and information discussed herein be forgotten and never spoken of again. I make this statement of my own freewill without any coercion or threat of bodily harm. Thank you for your cooperation.
TOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO deep for me . I just want my truck back.....................Been down three weeks now and I am going crazy. Those damn lawyers they are going to be the death of me yet.
Actually, the ford guys read these sites, get the users real names and addresses and enter into their database that these people have modded their trucks.
They are then blackballed at ALL Ford dealerships and denied warranty claims
