I have 2004 EB Expy with the audiophile system. I was never pleased with the muddy factory sound. I decided to purchase 4 Infinity 6812CF speakers. Well here are the main differences over stock:

• Definitely louder due to the fact that the speakers are more efficient.
• More noticeable mid-bass
• Highs are much higher, to the point where I had to turn down the treble.
• But, the difference is not earth shattering. It is noticeable, but is not a replacement for a thumping $5000 system. You will get cleaner sound.

This was a worthwhile investment. This is what the system should have sounded like. I was told by the installer that if I change the radio (which I do not want to do because I do not want to lose the in dash 6) or add an amp to the factory radio, the sound will be even better. But he was kind enough to tell me it was not worth it because, with an amp driving the 4 door speakers the factory sub may be over powered.

All in all, I recommend the upgrade for those contemplating the upgrade.
