Having trouble finding a new EEC for my 1988 F250 4x4 300 6cyl. E8TF-12A650-Z2B is the part number. Ford no longer stocks or supports it. Autozone/Napa don't have the part number. They do have -ZB is this the same? Or is there a replacement, that anyone knows of?
Anyone who sells Cardone rebuilt computers or Standard Motor Products can get you the computer you need.
E8TF-ZA, ZB will run your truck fine if you're at normal altitude and not in california.
If you're in california, you need E8TF-AAA, AAB.
And if you're at high altitude, you need E8TF-XA, XB

I have the same computer and its due for replacement. PO did a smog pump delete on this truck. Should I look to a different computer or stick with the ZA,ZB? (Normal altitude, not California).
Also, is there a difference in the brands? Im not sure what brand to get for a stock (other than the smog pump delete) engine...
Thoughts?
