EEC-IV Computer
I have an 87 300 6cyl with a 4spd. It's currently in the shop because it has been running real rough. The check engine light never came on so they checked it and somebody had removed the bulb. They then checked the computer and determined somebody had put a computer in for a 302. They then called Ford for a new computer and they said they needed the number off the old computer to order the new one. The mechanic said Ford told him there were like 17 different computers for the 300. Does anybody have any ideas on the computer? Model number?
This is pretty frustrating.
Any help would be much apprediated.

The base part number is 12A650 . But you will still need the rest of the part number off the original ecu . If you can find another 87 F150 w/ a 302 made in the same month as yours & get its part number that may be close enough for govt work & get your truck running properly .
