auto to manual
While debating on changing motors I was also thinking about changing from an auto to a manual. The guy at the junk yard was talking like I would have to change my drive shaft also. How come nothing is ever simple. I thought some cutting would have to be done and thats basically it for any time of modifying. Is he right. Its on a 89 f150 4x4 with a 302.

You'd have to check the OAL of your automatic with T case against the OAL of the manual with T case. If the length is the same you may still have issues with yor U joint flanges or yolks. If there is a lot of difference in length front an rear drive lines will have to be modified. In most cases the rear drive line will need to be longer and front shorter.
