Old Blue, This may or may not help you, but I thought I would mention it. I did a 460 transplant on my 73 F100. It originaly came with a 240, and needless to say, I definately had a sag. At the time of the transplant, I had put the supercooling radiator, shroud, fan, and fan clutch on it due to the fact that I planned on souping up the engine at a later date, adding A/C, and being able to run as fast as I wanted, or tow what ever I wanted with the A/C blowing full blast.
I went down to the local Car Quest parts store and looked in their coil spring book. For a half ton truck, they showed 3 options. One set for I6, one for V8, and a cargo spring. My train of thought on the V8 spring, is there is no way a truck with a 302 needs the same spring as a 460. I opted for the cargo spring. They cost me right at $60 for the set and I'm thinking they were $56 to be exact. I put those springs on my truck. They raised the bumper something like 5 or 6 inches, they have the space between the fender and the tire at the top at about 5 inches. The truck doesn't exactly ride like a wagon, but it is pretty firm. I can jump up and down on the front bumper and it just barely moves. You may look in to a cargo spring if you can't find what your looking for. Mine are a little more than what I wanted, but they may be perfect for yours.
I bought my engine and tranny from an 83 model 1 ton van. I got the brackets, pulleys, and everything that looked like van from a 74 model F100 with a blown up 460 including the thermostat housing, dip stick, and transmission dip stick to make mine look like a factory instalation. My thermostat housing is a 90 degree housing that kind of points over at the battery. Like I said, I bought the big radiator, so when I went to get hoses, I told them 74 F250 with super cooling and everything hooked right up. Wait and see if Zwinstead has the same type of set up, and that will give you an idea of what you need. I hope this helped you.
Mike

Zac,

To be honest, I'm not sure on the part numbers for ya. I actually got mine by calling Dennis-Carpenter Reproductions in N.C. (704-786-8139), ask for Bart. They bought all the old Ford dealership microfish and parts books. I would figure they could find your #'s just as they did for mine. But as for your truck, those with 400's and reg. cab are easier to find through moog or spicer. Might be worth a shot, I can definatly say they are easier to come across!..Haha. As for your '77 with the 460, that pic would really help if you could send it or post it on here somehow! I have found factory 460 motor supports and mounts, fan shrould, L&L acc. mounts (not by choice), and guessing on the rest. I found some D5VE manifolds and a friend is running them on his '78 F250 460 and they seem to work fine. Hope they do on a 2wd as well. The small stuff like hoses and belt set up is still my troubles. If ya can't post a link to that pic on here, let me know and i'll get ya an e-mail. Thanks!

Scott

By the way, thanks Dennis for the links!
