Does anybody offer rebuild kits for a detroit locker? If any one does what is the cost and who has them? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Billy!!!
I live in Seymour Tx, which is 50 miles southwest of Wichita Falls. My right front was not pulling so I jacked the frontend up and tried to roll the wheels, the left would not roll but the right hand side would and made a clicking sound. Pulled the diff. cover found little gears in the diff, removed the carrier pulled it apart, one of the side pieces was broke. I guess you would call them dog clutches was all broken off. I did not install this locker, but what I could find out is that it looks like a regular detroit locker.
Well, first there is a new wheeling club in your area called Texoma Off Road Club and their site is: http://TORC4X4.org
Also, there are few really good off road shops near you that might be able to help you out. Contact Russ at www.baertrax.com He will be able to fix your problems or at least get you the needed parts. Also, Auto Topic Off Road is in Tulsa ( http://www.autotopicoffroad.com/ ). I am sure they could help you out as well.
