Trans/clutch problem??

Trans/clutch problem??
This simple rear wheel seal replacement keeps getting better. I have the rearend on jack stands, with the trans in neutral, the wheel turns. I can stop it with my foot but it will start moving again. I have tried to adjust clutch fork to where there is no play at all and to where it is sloppy loose. No problems shifting through gears, except I think the throw out bearing my be going. How much play shold there be on the clutch fork? Only one wheel turns on the jack stands, but when I get on it, it will spin both tires in gravel and on blacktop.

i think if you had other cars to compare to you would find most manual trans vehicles will do the same thing on stands. it;s kind of like spinners on rims. you will get some rotation of the wheels even in neutral with it sitting on the stands. its kind of a residual friction coming through the drivetrain.
