CART went ahead and had their race today (American Memorial in Germany). What was good about it was that Alex Zenardi's sponsor (Pioneer) wanted to be pulled off the car. So they repainted it with American flags. The bad news is that upon leaving the pits, towards the end, he spun it (cold tires are blamed). He was t-boned by another driver doing 200 mph, right in the side. Result: One bad concussion and the amputation of both legs around the knee.

This is one week that I will not remember fondly.
And as far as 911 is concerned. Just to spite the fanatics, 911 will always be a Porsche to me.

Sept 11 was a horrible day.
CART, in an effort to pay tribute, renamed the race the American Memorial.
One car was repainted with the Stars and Stripes.
That car, was completely destroyed and the driver nearly killed during the race.
So, in a race that was a memorial to those who died Sept 11, out of all the cars there, the one that was destroyed was the one carrying the Stars and Stripes.
