ip governor spring
well i need some info please,i got a new db2 -5030 injection pump, my truck has a 4821, i know the the linkage is a little differant, as well as the governor spring is a little weaker(2750rpms) vs 3300 rpms. i need to change theses spring and was wondering it anyone has made the swap? or replace one before! I guess you would have to pull the governor top off, and then on the back of the pump you would have to remove the lock nut off the meter screw!! now is that the spring that goes in side tube where the meter rods is? any pictures or info to help me i would appercaite , thanks

I don't think the spring is weaker, the pumps are calibrated to operate at a specified rpm (high idle and low idle) and is done on a special machine, as well as fuel flow and a number of other parameters.
if you take it apart, you will lose those settings and it cannot be repaired in the field.
