Hi i need sum help with a distributor of a 361 ft truck it has a C7TE-12102.A
it has two lines for vacuum one to the distributor ,one to the governor
i don,t have a governor can i just block the governor line off and will it still work or not ?
Both lines go to the Carburetor, the one coming from the Carburetor is a fresh airline and goes through a governor valve in the Distributor and goes as a vacuum line back to the Carburetor governor.
If you do not have the vacuum governor on the Carburetor then you could leave the lines disconnected, as you would not have any place to hook them to anyway.
This has nothing to do with the vacuum advance diaphragm on the distributor and it still needs the vacuum line going to the carburetor throttle bore.
Note the non-governor Distributors had a Dual-Diaphragm Vacuum Advance Mechanism on them.
