block serial number
Can someone tell me about this block number : F3TE 8090 JA
Supposedly a 460 is in it but? And then What kind of exhast ports: round or square?

Sorry, that was the number that came right off the block drivers side just above the exhast headers. I take it i'm looking in/at the wrong place?!
So then where do i look to figure out what motor it is?

The part number tells you everything you need to know. There are no serial numbers on blocks as far as I know. My info shows this block to be a 1993 truck engine. For info on the heads will need those part numbers.
