The last time I primed an engine was about 19 years ago so I have to ask. When priming the oil pump in a 1994 351W which way do you turn the prime bit in the drill; left (counter clockwise) or right (clockwise)? I should remember this, but I just don't. I do remember that the distributor has to come out!!
Yeah, one way will be fairly easy, the other way will be pretty strong, it takes a good amount of power to turn that. I was using an 18v cordless drill. I believe it's reverse, or counter clockwise.
I failed to mention when I prime the motors I use a socket and an extension but I tape the extension and socket together. Learned that one the hard way.
I used a piece of copper tubing (3/8" I think) with a cutoff allen wrench soldered into it. It took a bit to get the tubing straight but it worked great once I did. I used an old electric drill and just watched until I had oil coming into the heads.
