Normally, I drive if we take my car or my truck, she drives if we take hers. On long trips we take her car and split the driving pretty much 50/50. She's a darn good driver and we both act as "spotters" for each other. I know I can trust and count on her.
I tend to drive most of the time... even when we take one of her trucks. She's a good driver, so I have no problem riding when she drives. It just works out that way... I drive, she navigates.
For the most part, we drive our own vehicles. Me in my truck, her in her car. She drives my truck only when I'm drunk. I drive her car when she has a "blonde moment". Like yesterday, she almost gets us into 3 separate car accidents in less than 5 minutes. So we get to Walmart, and leaves me in the car with the dogs to run the AC. I hop over to the drivers seat. When she gets back, she says WTF? Move over. I say heck no, I'm driving. You forgot how to drive today.
But then on road trips, whatever vehicle we take, we usually split 50/50.
My vehicles, I drive. Her car, she drives. I try to be fair and let her drive some of the time. She enjoys it and it makes her happy, which in turn will turn out to benifit me somewhere down the line.
I let the missus drive on occasions.
Initially she hated driving, and cars in general, I got her to go the drags the other night!!!
And she drove to!!!
My slow process of bringing her around to the "dark side" is working - I even saw her looking at a car magazine the other day
WOOT!
I'm too young to worry about that.
But there was this guy in a Mini Convertable and the licence plate was GRLPWR and it had flower seats and a Driver powered by MakeUp bumpersticker.
Well he was in the passanger seat and his wife was driving. He looked so board I'd hate to be him if one of his buddy's pulled up and laughed at him. Kinda felt sorry for the guy till i saw his Chevy racing shirt(sorry no more).
Well i tought my gf to drive my truck in a field she's so small she looked like a miget driving. But the Granny 4spd since reverse is less than an inch from the seat between me showing her how and switching out to sit in the middle reverse is kinda fun when you're both 16 and you take turns throwing it in to reverse.. Well that was a fun day!!!
So i'd let her drive just for backing out of parking spots and i wouldn't mind backing up a trailer with her in the truck since the middle is her seat of choice Draw your own conclusions!!

About 70/30 I suppose. 70 me, 30 her. During most of the work week we drive separate. Long trips I drive, dunno why really. I know that I cannot sleep in a moving vehicle, can't read, nothing - just watch the road or I get car sick...
Moving sucked because we had the trailer on, she won't drive a stick or with a trailer - at least that means she only drives the Accord and not my vehicles!
She has NEVER driven my truck and says she doesnt want to... says its too big? She drives a Navigator for cryin out loud... my truck is not very much longer! but thats ok, as long as I am driving I'm not nervous. Something about women who do the speedlimit in the city when everyone else is doing 15+ over scares the hell outta me! I think its safer for me to drive nomatter who's car we are in!
I drive 99% of the time. The reason: I trust no one behind the wheel but me since '99 when I was the passenger and now my hip is made of metal instead of bone. I get very nervous any time I'm in the passenger seat.
