Do you guys know if Sask has an regulations on exhaust. I was wondering if I could have the pipe exit in front of my rear tires instead of going over the rear axle.
Should be good as long as it extends past the passenger compartment, the 97 Ford F150`s had the factory exhaust coming out in front of the rear tire. Best to check with the Highway Traffic board, this is only what I understand it to be. It is only a phone call away.
Mine did on my 79 i had. Dual exhaust and both dumped in front of the rear wheels........I'm sure it's legal. I think the outlets need to extend past the passenger compartment.
My buddy just got dual exhaust installed on his Chebby 1/2 ton and the garage put the pipes out infront of his rear tires. A muffler shop should know the laws around exhaust, so I say if they did it then it must be fine.
Back in the 70's a lot of vehicles had the exhaust out the sides in front of the wheels. Some came from factory like this. I remember guys putting on headers and having chrome pipes running down the side of the cars and exiting in front of the wheels. Also you can put stacks on your truck still today, where they still come up behind the cab in the box. This is still legal. So I do not think it would be a problem as long as the pipes are past the sheet metal by an inch or so.
