Exhaust exit examples:

I'll be putting on new exhaust in the next couple of months (after the 460 install). Currently have dual exhaust with cherry bombs that exit out behind the rear tires. I'll be doing the same with the new exhaust. I'm not certain what type of tip I want and at what angle I want them coming out (definitely not straight out the back).

Please post some pics of your rear tire exit exhaust so I can see how others have their exhaust routed.

Thank.

Ryan

i dont have a picture but i really like a bigger 4 or 4.5 tip (maybe bigger depending on what size exhaust you install with that fire breathing 460 haha!) coming out at a 90 degree angle on both sides. but tucked up and angled down a bit. i will try to look for a picture.

Here's pics of my old 460 in my highboy. L&L headers, 2.5" pipes and flowmaster super 10's.

Short video. 270 comp cam since everyone asks.

I like the right side to exit in the factory location and the left side mirroring that. all my Dad's Fords were that way...lots of memories from when we would head out for cattle or hay very early in the morning...the sounds of the exhaust and the steam from the exhaust in the winter while the trucks were warming up...

On my 73 i followed the factory on the right side then duplicated it on the left side. I thought about going straight out the back under the bumper but that lets exhaust in a camper shell if you happen to put one on. Plus if you let them stick out pass the bumper they are in a good place to get damaged.__ JIM

Nothing exciting here. Headers running dual pipes to turbo mufflers and exiting out behind the wheels.
