Remote Start

any one have remote start on there truck and how much did it cost i herd that it is a bit pricey but if i was to get the kit off ebay what all would i need i herd u need a few extra things like a spare key with the chip inside and all other BS

installing the remote start isn't all that hard. i would buy it locally because of warranty and the extra parts. you can get a box that hold a key that is remote mounted under the dash. there is also a part that will learn the signal. if you have two keys to program it with. a new key runs about 50 to 80 dollars. the new part runs about 40 dollars. i would get a remote start from dei. they make viper, sidewinder, automate and a lot other name brands. the systems start about about 130.00 and go up to about 350.00 if you want an alarm and extra stuff.

my alarm on my truck would run about 750.00 installed. i can roll up and down my windows, start my truck, lock and unlock my doors, cut on my radio and i have a few extras sirens. i have a pizo siren inside the truck. in case someone breaks in. the will bust the eardrums whom ever trys it.

whitch alarm do you have and what all do you need part numbers and stuff

I have a 2003 F-150 with remote start,The only thing is depending on what year your truck is, you might need a factory alarm bypass. Hope this helps.
