rear drums

I got a 1977 F250 4x4. Is the drum and the round piece that the axleshaft bolts on to one piece or are they two pieces? If they are two, how do you get them apart?

You take the hub assembly off the axle put it on some carboard drum side down. You take a brass drift and a BFH and punch the wheel stud through you get all 8 punched through the hub and drum should separate. You can pop the studs out with just a hammer if you are not keeping the wheelstuds.

Actually I would replace the wheelstuds with new ones because they do wear out plus you don't want to get the drum and hub back on the axle and the one wheelstud starts spinning because the spline that holds the stud is screwed.
