I'm sure these questions have been asked before somewhere in the forums, so my appologies if I am being redundant.
I'm contemplating adding a cat-back system to my 02 Expy with the 5.4. I've looked at the single-outlet, stock-exit location systems from both Flowmaster and Gibson. I do not want to go to a dual system. Majority of my friends say go with the Flowmaster and a few say Gibson is the way to go. What is everyone's experience with these manufacturers and which do you recommend? I do tow a center console fishing boat so don't want to lose any low-end torque.
Also, what about the shorty headers from Gibson or JBA? Worth it or is it a waste of money for my needs? Thanks for everyone's .02 cents!
While I personally have'nt used the two brands you mentioned,
but i personally dont like the brands you mentioned, so i went with the cat back single out the side rear of tire MAGNA FLOW
set up and love it, and of course its on my wifes exped and she likes it as well.Well i liked it so much i even put a set on my 89"
f250 with the 460 in it. So in all this is my opinion.what you do
is entirely up to you. GOOD LUCK.
Ditto on the Magnaflow-good quality. I have the Gibson headers, that's where you get more power. I'd recommend gutting the pre cats if installing headers.
