I am planning on getting a new 250, but I cannot swing the extra 5k for the diesel (which I really want). Should I up to the V-10 (only $600.00) or stick with the standard V-8? I tow a travel trailer (8,000 # or so) maybe once or twice a month. Is there a big mileage difference, what about performance?

Just from what i've read on the V-10 and all the info i've checked out up to the V-10. You should really post this ? in the V-10 forum and it'll be filled up in a day with all the great responce's on the subject.

Just go up a couple of threads to the "new gears 5.4 F250 4X4" thread, and you'll find your answer. Unless you absolutely don't plan on towing...ever...the V10 is a better shot than the 5.4.
Opt for the 4.30 gears if you can. Otherwise the 4.10's will do.
