head lights problem
i have a 79 250 supercab ,when driving at night my head lights start to flash on there own for a few flashes then go out .the parking lights stay on .if you turn the headlight switch off then on ,they seem fine for maybe 30 min or so .could this be a ground issue?

i too am battling this issue,along with others. my turnsignals blow the fuse right when you try to drive off,i had to rewire the dome light because theres a short somewhere that i cant find. anyone know where i can buy a new cab wiring harness? maybe an engine harness to?

answer to headlites off/on
i had same problem with both 74's. contact www.madelectrical.com for relay kits--one for brights and one for dims. you can replace switches all day long but until you fix problem, symptoms will return. with relays, lights are brighter now and i could upgrade to "silverstar" lamps if i wanted. by the way, part number is RLY-1. need 2. a few hours and about $70 ??? and you'll be a happy trucker again. i am.

There is also a tech article here on the relay conversion setup. If the floor dimmer switch is bad it will need to be replaced anyway.
