I believe with the C8 heads, and a zero decked or slightly down you are gonna want about a 22cc dish piston with those heads a flat top will put you closer to 11:1.
Yes you can run the later crank in the D1VE block you just can't go the other way putting an early crank into the D9 block. but remember that the 79 or later cranks are externally balanced so you have to use the proper hatchet weight crank spacer, and proper flywheel or flexplate.

Well the problem with those pistons is that they will leave the piston .018 in the hole on an early block (even more on your block) and with the gasket thickness you will have well over .060 quench distance which is pushing the limits on proper quench, and may make it more prone to detonation, and if you deck the block far enough then yoru compression will be pushing atleast 11:1
Edit with later heads, and a decked block those pistons would put you pretty close to 10:1.

Ok I just ran a calculator on it, and with a piston in the bore .010, and a 18cc dish with those heads assuming they haven't been cut a lot you would be at approx 10.31, but (and I have to make an assumption on how much dish those valve reliefs are making) those pistons on ebay at the same piston to deck hieght assuming they valve reliefs are 8cc they would put you at 11.35 with your heads, or 9.5 with the D3 heads uncut.
