Code 62- Converter Clutch Error
Heres whats happening. (1990 F-350 diesel E4OD) I've got a code 62. This code is displayed when excessive converter clutch slippage is noticed. When I put the truck into reverse I can hear something slipping for a few seconds then it engages. When I'm in town driving (35mph) I can here something slipping but it stops as soon as I let off of the pedal and comes back as soon as I give it a little fuel. My gears want to shift too early. When I drive down the highway and hit the brake with my left foot to see if the convertor unlooks the rpm's do not increase like it notes in the manual. What can be my trouble? PS, It shifts awsome first thing in the morning and I did a fluid and filter change (13 liters). Thanks.
