I have a led flashlight that doesnt use any batteries. You shake it and it creates power. Basically its a generator. It is bright as hell and you never have to worry about batteries again. Shake it for 30 seconds and it lasts 20 minites.
I have a LED flashlight the looks like a A cell mag light, aluminum body, push click switch and has 6 LED's bright blue in color. Go to www.ledtronics.com.
Think I paid $35 to $40. It came with 2 special batteries around 2 plus volts each and a spacer slug. Remove the slug and run 2 A cells but the brightness is reduced due to lower current. Changed the current limiting resistor to get 120 ma and recovered the brightness without the cost of special batteries.
Been tested to 65', fell into the lake while on on night, with scuba I retrieved it.
Carl....=o&o>....
i bought it from a millwright who comes around where i work. They are transparent so you can see whats generating the power. It has a magnet at the bottom and the top and when you shake it you are actually moving a coil with windings on it up and down.
Its the best damn light i owned,im going to pick up another one for my truck next time i see him. He charges $60 Canadian.
The ones on TV look like they have a moving magnet and a fixed coil. They sell two units (big and small) for $20 + S&H etc. They never say how long you have to shake it for XX minutes of light. You can't see how bright it is either even tho they could play with the video to "enhance" it.
yea its probably the same one or pretty close. I have a big mag lite too which i think takes 4D batteries and its not as bright as this led one. I had this flashlight for over a year now and it works great everytime.
I usually only give it a quick shake (5 seconds) then it usually lasts 5 mins or longer. But if you shake the **** out of it, it will last 20 - 25 mins.
This place comes out in a google search but I don't think it is the same one I saw on TV. This place warns about "copycats". http://www.foreverflashlights.com/
You can find a lot of vendors with a simple Google search for: "led flashlight"
yea mine looks very similar to the one pic on the bottom of that link you posted. Mine might be a knockoff but its brighter than my big maglite. And the thing has lasted me over a year. If i cant get another from this millwright then maybee i will order one from that link you provided,
