So yesterday my replacement Unilite got here, along with the power filter. Today, around noon, I installed it. I dont think it's ever run smoother. Works great.
But I have been noticing a transmission related problem. I've posted it in the transmission forum, under "Chattering? C6"

I'm with Russ, I'd change the filter and fluid, and also go for the modulator. Also double check the little rubber lines to the modulator, mine at the trans swelled up on me, and would collapse , causing similar problems to what you are describing.
Congrats on the succesful build tho.... nice to see that Unilite worked out for you.... been pondering one myself....
Got the trans thing figured out. I manually shifted it for a few trips, then tried it. Problem eliminated. My guess would be a piece of crud in the valve body. Time to change fluid and filter. Stupid Fram, I guess I'm not getting another one of them.
Rusty, you running a remote filter on the return line? The screen inside the pan stops lumps not small particles. Add a flat disc magnet in the pan and a 3/8" x 2" long inside you spin-on filter.
No, I'm just running the internal transmission filter, and the stock cooler in the radiator. Last time I had it apart I did stick a magnet on the bottom of the pan. One of those little "rare earth" magnets from Radio Shack.
