Replace?

I have a 99.5 F 350 4x4 cc lb runs great except it has a noisey torque converter. I was thinking of having it replaced, and putting the sonnex kit in it. Tranny seems to shift allright but it does have 142,000 on it, I had read that the t/q coud tear up the trans I just don't want to spend the $$$ and have the trans go in 10-20K. Thanks, Dan

igot one with a 144000 on it and my converters the same way poor gals at the local drive through hat to hear me commin but never had any probs. with it
