My daughter just called me asking for proof of ins. on the truck. Seems she backed into someone leaving a friends house. Now they ins company will be finding out about her 92 in a 70 ticket she got last summer. Looks like she will have to get a job and pay for her own insurance. On the bright side she was driving the GMC.

Well it's getting better. lol She just called back and the police officer didn't write a report. It happened on private property.
The car my daughter hit was already wrecked but the owner was claiming that my daughter did all the damage. The police officer didn't believe the owner and only saw a slight scuff on their car that was fresh. The officer gave my daughter his card and said if the owner of the other car tried to file a claim with my insurance that he would let my insurance company know that the vehicle was already damaged.
But the insurance company will probably find out about my daughters speeding ticket.
The sticker man what about the sticker??? It's ok isn't it?
No really, glad no one was hurt and it looks like it might work out ok if they don't call your insurance.

My daughters both had minor wrecks with their cars during the first year that they drove. Their cars were not seriously damaged, so they got to drive dented cars until they could buy something different because the cars only had liability. Interestingly our insurance rates didn't change. I'm glad they didn't have something new and expensive. They did complain about having to drive a dented car, but you all know what the answer to that was. Glad no one was hurt.
My youngest son had a minor fender bender at the first of this year. He rear-ended a Lexus SUV with his '93 Saturn. I too carry only liability coverage. My primary carrier said that as long as the damage to the other car was less than $1,000.00 that it would not effect my sons insurance rates. So far that has been true. $676. to PAINT THE BUMPER! Glad I have a Ford.
