Removing the headlight switch itself...

I've read the FAQ and know how to remove the ****, but how do you get the switch itself out from behind the dash? I'm trying to replace mine and from the looks of the new one it should simply twist out, but I can't seem to get it. Hopefully it doesn't require removing the dash. If it does, is there a write up of the procedure for dash removal?

There should be a little nut on the front of the switch, outside of the dash. I used vise grips to get mine off. Disconnect the battery before attepting anything.
