I take it you haven't had the rocker shaft assembly off an FE head before. Once you take it off, it will become painfully obvious where the Holley jet goes. And to get it out, you blow compressed air through the oil passage from the bottom of the head, or if the head is on the vehicle, you can fish it out with some steel wire.
i have had plenty of fe's apart before and i know the oil feed hole in the head might as well do it then , i need to fix some of the external oiling problems the stock valve covers just don't seal right i'm going to use some cast aluminum ones.thanks rusty
I figured out my problem with the rocker area filling up with oil. This was a two part problem. One was rocker assy was instl on the wrong side which put the oil holes up instead of down. The second was rocker shafts are worn and show signs of galling. So today I placed an order for a set of Erson roller rockers.
