F-350 DRW width

Hello all,

Just got notice today that Ford really wants my 04 F-350 SRW on a trade for an 06. Am interested in DRW, but not sure I can fit it in my garage. (Door is okay, but there are steps that may be in the way.)

Anybody have a quick measurement of width at the rear?

About 94 inches.

...unless you opt to get the FX5.

Hmmmm, 94 inches just creeps by the stair landing. Not room for much else, but sometimes sacrifices need to be made.

If you have the tow mirrors on your 04 and they clear when all the way in so will the rear fenders on a DRW. Just take it slow

Actually, I was trying to find where to check that option on Ford's website...

I have to go into my two-car garage at a slight angle. Steps to second story slightly offset between the two doors at the rear of the garage, protruding mostly onto the side where I park. Odd arrangement. The landing of the steps in in the center of the floor, with more room front and rear, if you can picture...

Once I get past the landing of the steps I have plenty of room. My 350 mirrors clear the door with about 4 inches to spare.

Plus, I back in. Trees in driveway would require me to go forward after backing out to be able to clear them. Backing in lets me cut the wheels sooner and miss the trees without complications.

Probably be easier to build a new garage...
